VENUS NOSTALGIA
The series โVenus Nostalgiaโ is a collection of sculptures inspired by the Venus de Milo, an emblematic work whose beauty and mystery impacted me from a very young age when I saw it for the first time. That memory became the starting point for creating a group of pieces where this historical reference is transformed as it blends with my own imagination.
In these five sculptures, Venus appears wrapped in warm atmospheres, colors that evoke the tropics, stars that suggest reverie, and subtle hints of the music that accompanies my everyday life. This combination generates a visual language born from nostalgia and projected toward the contemporary, in a subtle way that activates an emotional connection while offering a renewed reading of a classical figure.
The works seek to awaken sensations and open a space for contemplation where the viewer can dream, pause, and disconnect from the accelerated rhythm of the world. โVenus Nostalgiaโ proposes a particular way of looking: a reinterpretation that intertwines memory, climate, fantasy, and perception, expanding the ways in which this figure can be understood in different contexts and sensibilities.
